Viewing from Surya-Siddhanta Yoga Periods & Sub-Periods

This experimental method offers reliable timing of events by using Raman's Ayanamsha only. So, the individual Longitudes of Sun and Moon are to be taken accordingly – before finding the longitude of the Surya-Siddhanta Yoga point.

Raman Sun Longi = Expunger360 [ Sayana Sun Longi – Raman Ayanamsha Value (DOB, TOB)) ] and

Raman Moon Longi = Expunger360 [ Sayana Moon Longi – Raman Ayanamsha Value (DOB, TOB)) ] and

Raman Surya-Siddhanta Yoga Point = Expunger360 (Raman Sun Longi + Raman Moon Longi)

This point can be taken as to the 'effective' position for Calculating the Balance of SS-Yoga period. … It is quite similar to finding the Balance of Dasha at Birth (which is done from the Moon Longi) – but with the below-mentioned certain specific differences:

There are 27 SS Yogas in cyclic order. The full-duration of every yoga is the same = 13 years 4 months (or 40 / 3 years). … Of which, for the first SS Yoga-period, the 'Balance' will be calculated. Every successive SS Yoga-period will be of full-duration (= 13 years 4 months).

Finding the Durations & Succession of SS Yoga-periods:

In case of "MALE" person, the 'Balance-portion' of SS Yoga-period will be calculated, and thereafter the other SS Yoga periods will follow in regular succession (SS Yoga as per Yoga-point, then + 1 , then + 2 , etc), and every successive SS Yoga-period will run for the same duration (= 13 years 4 months).

But in case of "FEMALE" person, the 'Expired portion' of SS Yoga-period will be calculated , and thereafter the other SS Yoga periods will follow in opposite of normal (SS Yoga as per Yoga-point, then – 1 , then – 2 , etc), and every successive SS Yoga-period will run for the same duration (= 13 years 4 months).

'Expired portion' of SS Yoga-period = ( 13 y 4 m ) – 'Balance-portion' of SS Yoga-period

Finding the Durations & Succession of SS Yoga Sub-periods:

There are 27 equal-duration SS Yoga Sub-period in any SS Yoga-period. So, the duration of every SS Yoga Sub-period = ( 13 y 4 m ) / 27 … that is, = 40 / 81 year. ... The duration is of about 180 days.

If we opt for further sub-division, then the Inter-periods can be calculated by following the same process. So, the duration of every SS Yoga Inter-period = ( 13 y 4 m ) / ( 27 * 27 ). The duration is of about 7 days only .

Once the order of succession of Main SS Yoga-periods are found, then the Sub-periods are found as usual – beginning from the Main-period as per the same set-up as obtained . … In the original set up, it goes in order of ( X, X + 1, X + 2, etc) for "MALE" persons, and in order of ( X, X – 1, X – 2, etc) for "FEMALE" persons.

Once the set-up of the major SS Yoga periods are found (which differs depending on whether the person is male or female), no further reversal is necessary; the succession of the SS Yoga Sub-periods will be as per the 'set-up' only.

As for predictive purposes, as we opt for avoiding the early age-period (till about 16 years or so), the divisions of the Starting SS Yoga-period will not be necessary at all (as it will always be <= 13 y 4 m).

Favorable & Unfavorable SS Yogas:

Like the Nakshatras (as per 27 Nakshatra-system), starting from 0* to 360* there are 27 SS Yogas of 13*20' each. The Serial No. of SS Yoga is determined as per SS Yoga Longi (Here, it is by using Raman's Ayanamsha).

Unfavorable SS Yogas (Naisargika):

There are 9 SS Yogas – which are considered Unfavorable. Their Numbers are:

# 1 (Vishkumbha), # 6 (Atiganda), # 9 (Shoola), # 10 (Ganda), # 13 (Vyaghata), # 15 (Vajra), # 17 (Vyatipata), # 19 (Parigha), and # 27 (Vaidhriti).

The remaining other 18 SS Yogas are considered Favorable SS Yogas (Naisargika) .

Unfavorable SS Yogas (Tatkalika):

There are 9 SS Yogas – which are considered Unfavorable (Tatkalika). As per the corresponding set-up their Numbers will be:

If Starting SS Yoga-period = X Then

(X + 2), (X + 4), (X + 6), and

(X + 11), (X + 13), (X + 15), and

(X + 20), (X + 22), (X + 24). … [ Expunger27 is to be used everywhere ]

If instead of set-up, the standard list of SS Yoga periods are referred to, then the above-mentioned figures are for 'male' persons only. … The figures for 'female' persons will be obtained by substituting '+' by '–'.

For SS Yoga Sub-periods also, the Favorable & Unfavorable – as per Naisargika & Tatkalika – are exactly the same.

Condition-1: If as per both the considerations - Naisargika & Tatkalika - the SS Yoga-period is found to be favorable , and the SS Yoga Sub-period is also found to be so, then

Conclusion-1: As per both the considerations - Naisargika & Tatkalika - the SS Yoga-period is found to be favorable, and the SS Yoga Sub-period is also found to be so. As such the period is likely to be highly beneficial and enjoyable time for you. During this period, some of your cherished desire will be fulfilled, and you may have some special accomplishment; besides, there could be an auspicious celebration in your family. You credibility and honor will also increase.... The possibility of favorable happening might become even more during the period when the operating SS Yoga Inter-period (of about 7 days) will also be found to be favorable.

Condition-2: If as per both the considerations - Naisargika & Tatkalika - the SS Yoga-period is found to be unfavorable , and the SS Yoga Sub-period is also found to be so, then

Conclusion-2: As per both the considerations - Naisargika & Tatkalika - the SS Yoga-period is found to be unfavorable, and the SS Yoga Sub-period is also found to be so. As such the time-period may prove to be quite problematic for you in more ways than one; you may even have to face a very critical situation. Your state of health might become deteriorated, or the well being of one of your close relations may cause you some concern; alternately, you may face a setback owing to some unexpected developments or untoward happening. ... The possibility of unfavorable happening might become even more during the period when the operating SS Yoga Inter-period (of about 7 days) will also be found to be unfavorable.
